<image:title>About - OUR STORY</image:title>
<image:caption>About Julia and Jeremiah We often tell our clients that we are doing our own work alongside them. In our case, we work to practice the communication techniques, conflict resolution skills, and ideas for exploring sexuality and play in our own relationship. We mention this not to hold ourselves up as a model, but because we want you to know that we are fellow travelers on this journey. We’re married- partners since 2019- And we’ve built a lot together: a podcast, a nonprofit, multiple private practices, and most recently Let’s Heal Together. We share finances and we’re navigating family planning. Real relationship stuff. Our favorite way to reset? Long-distance hiking. We’ve literally walked 500 miles (the Camino de Santiago), and then 500 more (the Alpe Adria). We’ve lived in The Netherlands, explored a lot of the world together, and we come back to each trail and trip better than when we left.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - LICENSED MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST</image:title>
<image:caption>Jeremiah Gibson Jeremiah's favorite place to be is a coffee shop with a book or his computer — writing a Substack article, musing on the complexities of the world, or chatting with the locals. He's focused and direct with his feedback, while always making sure to check in on the relationship. He's a glass half-full kind of guy. He's creative — in a former life, he was a musician, and still tries to play and sing whenever he can. He laughs a lot inside and outside of session. He incorporates a lot of the professional literature he reads and writes about into session. And he's extremely mindful of pace. You'll likely notice him overseeing pauses and timeouts — including with himself, especially if he's asked multiple big questions at once. We're doing the work alongside you.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER</image:title>
<image:caption>Julia Postema Julia’s favorite place to be is outdoors running, hiking, or kayaking; she also gets a lot of comfort from a challenging spin class, an inquisitive book club, or surrounded by a warm blanket reading an intriguing novel. She’s also hilarious; when Julia and Jeremiah enjoy long-distance hiking, Julia will often entertain with stand-up comedy routines that she makes up on the spot. Julia is extremely thorough, both inside and outside of a therapy session. She asks the questions that you wouldn’t think to ask. What’s more, she has an amazing gift of being able to hold onto and refer to a lot of information that might arise in an intense couples session, expertly choosing what to focus on and how to bring it up. She is also quite diplomatic; you will likely notice her managing the pace of a session– checking in, making sure that she understands your perspective and your partner’s before moving forward.</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - When sex is hard, all of life can feel hard.</image:title>
<image:caption>Now, you wonder if your relationship is doomed because your sex life is struggling. Maybe you’ve been to couples therapy before. You've tried therapy before. Maybe it even helped- with communication, with conflict. But sex? You never got to talk about the thing that was bothering you most. Here’s what we know after working with hundreds of couples: almost every long-term relationship hits a sexual roadblock. Usually more than one. It doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re human. If you’re like us, nobody taught you how to initiate, explore, or sustain a fulfilling sex life. That's exactly what we're here to help with.</image:caption>

<image:caption>We're doing this work alongside you. Hi! We're Julia Postema and Jeremiah Gibson — married, AASECT-certified sex therapists, and the co-founders of Let's Heal Together. We believe that if a couple can talk well about sex, they can talk well about anything. We also believe that most people were never taught how, not really. We're here to change that. We've walked 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago together. We know something about navigating hard terrain.</image:caption>

<image:title>Couples Therapy - We are experienced relationship and sex therapists, and we’ve helped hundreds of couples who have started couples therapy as the result of:</image:title>
<image:caption>Conflict resolution issues Especially as the result of a pileup of conflict that hasn’t been resolved over the years. Issues with sexuality. Most notably, challenges with when you and your partner want different things from sex — and neither of you knows how to talk about it without it turning into a fight. Family planning ruptures. We specialize in working with couples who are seeking to expand their family, but have experienced infertility or pregnancy loss. We’ve guided couples through the grief and reorganization process that accompanies IVF, adoption, and other forms of assisted reproduction. Parenting and family changes. The transition into parenthood can be extremely disruptive, especially for folks who don’t have ready-made support systems. Infidelity. One of the most painful things that couples experience is the breach of agreement through a sexual/emotional relationship with another person, and ensuing secrecy around the breach. Household roles and finances. Couples work best when there’s a sense of equality between the partners; inequity shows up the most around chores, money, and other household-related things.</image:caption>
